Alcali CDQ NEW: soda ash and caustic soda replacement

Alkali mixture · Reactive dye fixation · Sodium carbonate replacement

Blend of organic and inorganic alkalis that partly or fully replaces sodium carbonate and caustic soda in reactive dyeing, reduction clearing and scouring.

Alcali CDQ NEW - Casdiquim

Properties

  • Chemical nature: blend of organic and inorganic alkalis
  • pH (3.5%): 12 - 13
  • Solubility: 200 g/l in water at 20 °C
  • Storage: at least 12 months in the closed original container, in a cool, dry place, between 5 and 25 °C
  • Alkaline product: after contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water

Uses

  • Reactive dyeing: replaces sodium carbonate, trisodium phosphate and caustic soda and lowers the process cost
  • Reduction clearing
  • Scouring of polyamide, cotton, recycled polyester and other fibers. On polyamide and recycled polyester, start with 60% of the carbonate amount and check that the required pH is reached
  • Machines with automatic bath feeding and low liquor ratio
  • Add in three parts after reaching the fixation temperature: 10%, 30% and 60% of the total at 10-minute intervals, for a gradual pH change without leveling problems
  • In dark shades, add more sodium sulfate at the start and/or 0.5 - 2 g/l caustic soda after the Alcali CDQ NEW
  • Dissolve before adding to avoid lumps in the bath or the piping
